"On 12th September 2006 we approached Millcraig Mill Farm, Alness in the Scottish Highlands. Here we found two pens, one with approx. 25 wild boar and the other with a boar, two pigs and three cross breeds between pigs and wild boar. We managed to open the gates to the pens and destroy the perimeter fencing to both pens, ensuring that all of the animals held captive were able to escape. As we left the farm the woods and surrounding fields were filled with run away boar. The surrounding countryside is an amazing habitat for the boar, with huge valleys, forests and moors as far as the eye can see. This is where these animals belong, not headed for someones dinner plate."
