As many as 6,000 mink were released from the Hulans fur farm outside Svenljunga in the early morning hours of Friday, October 3. Fencing was cut and surveillance cameras on site were disabled. Ten of the 23 sheds on the farm were emptied of animals. "Din förlust - deras frihet" ("Your loss - their freedom") was painted on a wall.

The Hulans fur farm was raided once before, in October 1997 when 5,000 mink were released from cages.
