THIS IS OUR PRECAUTIONARY APPROACH:
25 litres of gas + 6 sticks of dynamite at the Beccastecca Experimental
Institute - managed by the Agriculture Ministry - busy in research on transgenic animals. Big nails and warning placards in the perimeter made it clear no person could be put in any danger.

The agriculture ministry gave it's ok to the cultivation of GMO's for commercial reasons. This is the truth hidden behind the lies of a
precautionary approach; the presumed safety theorized with that approach is just one more proof of research centres not being able to protect living beings, wich will be irreparably contaminated, as they are admitting in the same law.

The idea sustaining the coexistence of transgenic agriculture and traditional or organic agriculture is still the same: to make us accept any new toxicity as one impossible to evade, let us think that it is possible to confine toxicities in defined borders, giving us the illusion we can decide whether we want or not to be out of their reach.

The only guarantees we can see by now are the open doors given to the WTO interests, and to those of agrifood multinationals, companies
manipulating life in research centres, the only ones gaining from genetic engineering.

The only precautionary approach we can accept is to destroy the GMO's
breeds as soon as they start, attack the structures where research is done, to build a determinate and daily opposition to the engineering of life.
