Radical animal welfarists bombarded the fur industry with E-mails 10,000 messages from over 500 activists world wide
Radical animal welfarists are turning to digital weapons. As the magazine, "Fokus" reported, last week they bombarded the fur industry with e.mails, including the German Fur Institue (DPI).
DPI spokesperson, Christiane Huch-Baden confirmed that "our work was seriously disrupted".
More than 10,000 messages with a jumble of letters and numbers completely blocked the electronic mailbox at times.
The protest group, "The Electronic Civil Disobedience" called upon anti-fur protesters to activate the sending of mails over a special web-programme. At least 500 activists worldwide took part.
The animal welfarists
have announced attacks on further companies in the fur trade.
