Reported by local activists:

On July 24th, the Fronte Liberazione Animale (Italian ALF) freed 210 rabbits from a vivisection breeder near Pisa, Italy. The action has been claimed with a communiqué and photographs, and has been dedicated to activists fallen under state repression, in particular to the eco-anarchist group Il Silvestre, based in Pisa.
Eight activists from this group are now under arrest accused of forming a revolutionary gang that claimed many arsons against right-wing politicians, and are under investigation for many anarchist and ecologist actions that took place around Pisa in the last 3 years. Two activists are now in prison, five under restrictive house arrests (no mail - no phone calls - no visits) and one has escaped from house arrests and is on the run.
This is the communiqué:
"During the night
of July 24th we entered Pampaloni
Rolando farm in Fauglia (Pisa), and we left at dawn
carrying 210 rabbits with us. This action has been censored by the media, but the photos we are enclosing can be a proof of it.
These animals were probably destined to die in vivisection labs. Pampaloni doesn't like the people to know about his deals with vivisectors. The animals in his barns do not only die brutally in slaughterhouses, killed for the greed of carnivores, but are also victims of animal experimentation, torture in the name of profit. Vivisection is just a billionaire business, and it must end.
For Pampaloni a warning: leave the vivisection industry or you'll pay the consequences. We have seen you coming out during the night and driving away with a van. We were so near to you. We have walked under your windows while you were sleeping. We have known all your property. We will not fail to be back.
-Fronte di Liberazione Animale
May the freedom gained tonight by these animals we now grab happy in our hands give strength to all those imprisoned for their fight against this system based on killings and exploitation. Solidarity with the activists of Il Silvestre!"
