In the last month open rescue group "Befreite Tiere" rescued 167 hens
from battery farms in germany:

08.08.05: 30 hens liberated
22.07.05: 50 hens liberated
02.07.05: 74 hens liberated
01.07.05: during a research in a battery farm 13 hens were found in the
excrement pit. they were there for days without water and food, several
dead ones were lying between them. all the 13 hens were taken and survived.
